Retirements & Releases: from Jake Genesis & Tom Wolfe to Tim Tebow
Big porn news today! Jake Genesis has retired after only 8 or so months of being a top performer! Read all about it at QueerPig [http://queerpig.com/exclusive-jake-genesis-is-done-with-porn-read-his-shocking-statement/]. A major part of his issue is his Catholic religion. Sigh.
He sure will be missed! All the best Jake!

Tim Tebow has been released from the Jets after one season. Read more about it at the Huffpo [http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/29/tim-tebow-cut-jets-released-nfl_n_3177159.html?utm_hp_ref=sports].
I took Colby Keller’s advice today and went for a bike ride!
So here is what it looked like off of my porch this afternoon:
It was warm [temperature was about 55º Fahrenheit or 12.8º Centigrade] and misty; a weather inversion was taking place. Smells and sounds were trapped by the cloud cover and there was a pervasive wet mist all around. A perfect day for a bike ride! As was also suggested by Colby Keller.
I rode my usual warm-up ride of about 10 miles [16.1 Km]. My tires were wet the entire way, which meant that my brakes were dicey [they weren't working]! I had to be very careful about traffic. But I had a terrific ride and it felt great to be out on the road again. I cannot wait until spring, or until another warm day!
My bike is gray, so it is hard to see just how dirty it really is. But it got really dirty because of all the grit and sand on the road used to melt the snow we had just gotten. I was covered with it and have to wash my cycling togs. Even my eyeglasses were dirty!
But what fun I had!!!
Tim Tebow in New York!
VOGUE has just done an article on Tim Tebow with photographs by Annie Leibovitz. In the video accompanying the article (below) Tim comments that “Not all of NY is city!” Interestingly, Tim, and the rest of the Jets team, worked out this past summer at my alma mater, SUNY College at Cortland [article here]. Cortland is a small farming town with lots of apple trees, corn and cows. Main street is one way. Yeah Tim, NY is not all city! LOL!

My Summer Report
What did I do all Summer? See my report below:
Earlier in the Summer I rode with a peloton of senior riders that were mostly in their 70′s and 80′s. I thought, well there should be no problem for me keeping up with these guys! Boy was I wrong! They were in such good shape and kept up a pace I could only dream of keeping. They were waiting for me every few miles! It was so embarrassing. But they were extremely nice about it and I loved riding with them. I had to do something.
So, my husband dug around and found some clip-in pedals from Jim, his brother, and put them on my pedals [photos 1 & 2]. They have improved my riding by at least 30%. I cannot use the typical clip-in pedals because they hurt my knees when I clip out.
The next three photos are of a female painted turtle that we found on our driveway that would have been run over had we left it where it was. We moved it safely to the woods.
The next two photos are of a Campsis Morning Calm shrub that was growing as a vine up a telephone pole on Long Island. Isn’t it beautiful? My Mother is going to try to grow one.
The next two photos are of a Triumph car that I took a liking to because of the color and make. I played with the photos with Instagram.
The next 3 photos are of my Brugmansia Ecuador Pink with 8 flowers!!!
The next 3 photos are of the Old Saybrook causeway that I rode over a bit this summer. The first looks right back the way I came and there is a cute mother and child. the next looks back towards Fenwick, where Kathrine Hepburn used to own a house. The other looks across the road at an osprey platform. The causeway is scenic enough to have been used for car commercials.
My neighbor releases his Rhode Island Red chickens from time-to-time.
We went to the Chester Fair again this year. They had fewer animals than in years’ past, but it was still fun. I really enjoyed the cows this year. The llamas were fun too and so soft!
The last three photos are from River Road in Essex, a ride I do very frequently, because it is so pretty.
